Week of Respect at Windsor

Windsor joined other NJ schools this week in an effort to raise awareness about bullying. Students created buddy benches, collaborated together on meaningful projects, and learned about the importance of respect. We enjoyed fun spirit days and had opportunities to make some new friends.

Windsor’s Got Talent!

Students of all ages took the stage to show us their talents. We were treated to group acts, solos, comedy, karate, dance, and more. It was wonderful to see so much participation this year.

Acrobatics at Windsor

Li Liu’s beautiful smile and story of determination immediately caught our attention.  She started training to be an acrobat at only six years old and went on to perform around the world.  We were mesmerized by her strength and many special talents.

Rotary Recognizes Windsor Student

The Pompton Lakes Rotary Club presented 8th grader Nemo Burton with a special Student Achievement Award this spring. Nemo, known for his positivity and determination, has shown tremendous growth at Windsor Learning Center over the past several years. We are very proud of his accomplishments and would like to congratulate Nemo as he prepares to enter high school in the fall.

An Amazing Trip to Neverland

Over the past few months, the cast of Peter Pan Jr. worked very hard and took great pride in memorizing lines, learning songs, and practicing dance moves.  For many, it was their first time taking part in such a production. It was wonderful to see them perform at the theater in front of a live audience. We are so proud of their accomplishments and are thankful to the dedicated staff who made it possible.

National Yo-Yo Master Captivates Us

Dazzling Dave, a former teacher and Guinness World Book record holder visits Windsor for the first time! He taught us cool physics lessons while demonstrating some truly fascinating tricks with many different types of yo-yos. Students had a chance to show us their hand-eye coordination, throwing and catching skills, and balance as they learned how to yo-yo. Everyone watched with great anticipation as the yo-yo guru attempted to knock a poker chip off of the ears of volunteers.

A Celebration of Seuss!

Today, we joined in the excitement of Read Across America, a nationwide celebration in honor of  Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Some guest readers dropped by our younger classrooms and shared stories. The children were delighted to see the beloved Cat in the Hat bring his story to life.

100th Day of School!

We celebrated the 100th day of school in style. After counting the days in anticipation of this special milestone, the Windsor wildcat delighted students and staff with an early morning visit. He even joined in the fun during gym class!
