Events

Choir and Instrumental Concerts

Students have the opportunity to participate in choral, instrumental and dance solos in preparation for a variety of performances.

Drama Productions

Many of our students write, produce, direct and perform an original theater production at the Windsor Arts Center.

Educational Fairs

Students create projects within our classrooms that expose and broaden our students knowledge of a variety of cultures and backgrounds.

Fall Social

A fall themed school-wide event is planned through the collaboration of students and staff. This includes music, games, food, and fun!

Field Days

Students choose from a variety of activities that encourage participation in recreational sports, promote teamwork and school spirit!

Level 3 Activities

These activities offer a variety of educational motivators to acknowledge our students individual successes and growth.

Spring Social

The Spring Social is an after-school event providing our students an opportunity to have some fun while incorporating the many skills worked on daily through the social skills counseling curriculum.

Parent Seminars

Parent seminars are provided each academic year. Recent seminars have focused on the Nurtured Heart Approach, Mindfulness and assisting with positive behavioral interventions at home.

Spirit Days

Days are chosen throughout the school year where staff and students demonstrate their school spirit in support of our Windsor athletics and activities.

Student Spotlight Lunch

A special lunch is ordered in recognition of a students achievement, community service or accomplishments. Each student is nominated by a staff member.

Weis Field Trip

Each year we venture to The New Weis Center located in Northern New Jersey. The day is spent outdoors and incorporates nature with education. Encompassed in the day are team building activities, shelter building, nature awareness, hiking, yoga and much more!

Activities

Assemblies

Assemblies take place throughout the school year and include a variety of activities such as winter and spring concerts, Awards presentations, and drama productions.

Clubs

Each week students participate in clubs. During the course of the year, clubs change to allow all students the opportunity to experience different social activities, some of which are coding, bowling, and anime art.

Community Outreach

Students are provided with meaningful opportunities to help others and to have a positive impact on their community. Our students visit a local adult daycare center where they participate in special activities that bring joy to both the students and the people they meet.

Entrepreneurship Program

Students participate in an entrepreneurial program. During weekly workshops, they experience hands-on activities and learn the basics of product development, finance, marketing and salesmanship. At the end of the school year, we have a marketplace, where students sell their goods. A portion of the proceeds that are raised are used to help a charity chosen by the student.

Field Trips

Students are given the opportunity to visit a variety of places off campus to broaden their view of the world utilizing educational instruction.

Fitness Challenge

During the month of January our staff and students have a spirited physical fitness competition where students compete against staff to win prizes.

Mentor Program

Students choose a staff member as a mentor to build a relationship with to assist students throughout the challenges of high school. Mentors encourage the social and emotional growth of the students through social activities within the school.

PAWS Program

We offer our students an opportunity to learn various training techniques and to gain a sense of confidence through positive interactions with dogs. During weekly sessions, dog handlers provide our students with age-appropriate, hands-on lessons about how to properly love and care for animals.

Student Council

The Student Council’s main objectives are to stimulate leadership, service and spirit in our school. Students are encouraged to make a difference at Windsor, as well as the outside community by participating in team-based projects.

Yearbook Committee

Each year, we design a yearbook. This memento captures student photos and various activities throughout the year. Students design the yearbook cover and work on a committee to help produce the final product.
