Robotics Fun!

Students of all ages enjoyed building robots this week. For many, it was their first time participating in this type of activity. Starting from scratch, they were excited to watch the robots come to life. The age-appropriate hands-on projects were brought to us by the Brooklyn Robot Foundry.

Ninja Warriors Sieze the Day

Our ninjas tackled challenges designed to build strength, coordination, agility, balance, problem-solving skills, self-confidence, and grit during an incredible field trip this summer. There was something for everyone to try at this amazing facility. Kids stepped outside their comfort zone and gained a sense of accomplishment.

The Annual Summer Carnival!

The aroma of popcorn and warm pretzels greeted everyone as they entered the building that morning. It was time for our annual carnival! Everyone was excited to get their face painted, play some games, and win cool prizes. It was an awesome day filled with many memories.

100th Day Celebration!

We celebrated the 100th Day of School this week with a special visit from Whiskers the Wildcat. The hallways are adorned with creative posters and projects made by the students. As many of them said, the time has flown by!

Getting Grinchy!

We had fun showing our grinchy side during Holiday Spirit Week! It was awesome to see so much excitement and creativity among students and staff during this special time.

Let it Grow!

We held our second Movember campaign to raise awareness of the biggest health issues facing men today: Mental Health & Suicide Prevention, Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer, Heart Disease and Diabetes

It was a collaborative effort to support our fathers, brothers, uncles, sons, and friends!

  • Male staff members were encouraged to grow a mustache or beard and hopefully start a conversation about men’s health. Thanks to over 20 men who joined our challenge!
  • Blood Pressure Screenings were offered to staff.
  • Everyone was encouraged to get moving each day to stay mentally healthy and to reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
  • Art teachers included mustaches in their lessons to start a conversation about the importance of healthy living.
  • Counselors ran mustache muse contests each week.
  • Blue ribbons were sold to benefit the Movember Foundation.

Thanks so much to everyone who supported Movember!

College and Career Fair

Students had an opportunity to speak with representatives from a variety of organizations today. They were encouraged to discover different career paths and learn about the options that lie ahead. Windsor School is dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential as they navigate this exciting time!

Milestone for PAWS Program at Windsor

Our partnership with PAWS IN HAND is still going strong after 12 years! Learning on both ends of the leash is a simple philosophy that has brought joy to many students and rescued dogs over the years. Whether students are very comfortable with dogs already or they are unsure about how to approach them, attending a PAWS session is a meaningful experience. We are so grateful to the dedicated volunteers for their commitment to this important mission.
