We explored the continents this week! Teamwork was the key to success when we played the destination game and had a scavenger hunt. Everyone had an opportunity to build and race a sailboat, design a car and think about where they might want to travel someday.
We learned all about the history and culture of hip-hop from two dynamic instructors who traveled all the way from Philadelphia. Hip Hop Fundamentals is an organization dedicated to educating, inspiring, and empowering young people. They amazed us with their moves and then went on to show us how to do it ourselves. There was no time to sit during this workshop because we were so busy moving. We certainly hope to see them again because there’s more to learn and they make it so interesting and fun!
We were entertained and inspired by a super scientist this summer! It was fun to watch the experiments unfold before us. Extra gooey slime and mysterious fog were certainly among our favorites during the spectacular show.
Carnival week was so much fun! Gigantic inflatable games, warm pretzels, spin art, and cool prizes brought smiles to everyone’s faces. It was great to get outside and enjoy the great weather.
We were so happy to see our furry friends this summer! The PAWS program has a special way of brightening everyone’s day. Even if they are just walking by, people can’t help but smile when they see wagging tails. Thank you so much to the volunteers who made it happen for us!
Watermelon pizza has been a huge hit in cooking class this summer! Our young chefs love choosing their favorite toppings and learning how to make a healthy snack for themselves.
We kicked off the summer program with tie-dye, beach games, water beads, and kinetic sand! As the temps went higher, so did our enthusiasm. It was great to be outside in the fresh air for a while.
We are so proud of our graduates. Their hard work and perseverance shined through during this difficult year. Everyone here at Windsor wishes them a very bright future full of many opportunities.
During this unprecedented year, so many students asked us when they would be able to see the dogs again. We are thrilled to announce that the beloved PAWS program has made its way back to us! Windsor has partnered with the directors of PAWS to provide help on both ends of the leash for the past 8 years. It was truly a pleasure to welcome the volunteers, trainers, and sweet pups back after such a long break.
Mysterious rings, a slippery snake, and clever card shenanigans were just a few of the things Joe Fischer had for us in his bag of tricks. Giggles rang out and genuine smiles spread across the aisles as the audience watched a delightful magic show. We are very excited about the magic workshops we have planned for the summer!
