Cool Sounds of the Season

Our junior and senior choruses performed a variety of sensational songs at our annual winter concert. The audience was excited to see so many talented musicians and singers join together to kick off the holiday season. We are very proud of everyone who worked so hard to make it an incredible show.  We wish you all a very happy and healthy new year and look forward to seeing you in 2020!

Pompton Lakes Holiday Stroll

We had a candy cane raceway, a fun craft station, and so many enthusiastic visitors at the holiday stroll!  Mickey Mouse, Olaf, Buzz Light Year, and their friends marched alongside a talented marching band as they paraded down Wanaque Avenue. This annual tradition is such a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season with the Pompton Lakes community.

Special Drive Benefits Tomorrows Children’s Fund

We sponsored a cartoon band-aid and craft supply drive for the children at Hackensack Hospital. As an added twist, some staff members bravely volunteered to be pied by the Windsor Wildcat in support of this cause. With every donation, contributors had the chance to vote for whichever person they wished to see pied.  It was very exciting to watch the pile of boxes grow each day. Before Thanksgiving break, we held a school-wide assembly to celebrate the end of this successful drive and reveal the staff members who received the most votes. In total, the Windsor community collected 386 items!

A Time to Celebrate

Congratulations to all of our students who were recognized for their outstanding achievements at the first awards assembly of the school year. Keep up the good work!

Helping a Friend in Need

Our friends at Shepherd’s Haven said they could use some help cleaning up their lawn.  We gathered a group of service-minded students, grabbed a pile of rakes and gloves and headed on over.  It was a beautiful day to get together and come to the aid of a very special group of people.

Learning Life Saving Skills

A certified instructor recently taught some of our high school students how to perform CPR. The group was very interested in learning how to respond in emergency situations and to possibly save a life someday.  This valuable and empowering experience will stay with them forever.

Ghosts, Goblins, and Ghouls, Oh My!

Halloween was filled with sweet treats and special surprises.  Our annual parade gave everyone the chance to see an array of amazing costumes in all shapes and sizes.  Our judges had a tough time choosing the award winners because there were so many great ones to choose from this year.

It’s Good to Have Goals

Interested students had the chance to play soccer at a local facility this week. It took some hard work for them to earn this special opportunity, but in the end it was worth it. They enjoyed playing together and practicing their skills.

Developing Trust and Communication

Finding the courage to believe in yourself and to trust someone else is not easy.  During a recent trip to the New Weis Center, we participated in team building activities, walked in the woods,  and searched for tiny creatures. It was a day full of wonderful discoveries.

Searching for Clues in the Science Lab

Our young scientists sifted through owl pellets looking for indigestible plant matter, bones, fur, feathers, bills, claws, and teeth. The curious teams were fascinated by their discoveries and couldn’t wait to record all of their findings.
